Bulletin Board for Hesston Mennonite Church

· Looking for a way to help your community in time of need? For over 50 years, the Hesston community has benefited from volunteers who respond to emergency situations. Hesston Emergency Services is presently looking for volunteers to staff fire and ambulance crews. Assisting friends and neighbors when they most need help is a benefit of volunteering. Not trained--no problem. Training opportunities begin in September for firefighters and January for EMS. Volunteers should live within 5 minutes of Hesston. Contact Russ Buller, Chief, with any questions at 327-2221 or hesdirector@hesstonks.org.

· Pakistan Relief - Those wishing to support relief efforts in Pakistan resulting from extreme flooding may include donations in Sunday offerings written to Hesston Mennonite Church and designated for MCC-Pakistan. MCC welcomes donations and is forwarding funds to trusted and experienced agencies working in Pakistan. Although MCC does not have an office or staff in Pakistan, it has a history of relief and development efforts in the country.

· MCC Flatlander Bicycle Ride – Saturday, September 18 - Brochures available on the shelf below the literature boxes or in the church office.
