Pastoral Search

Hesston Mennonite Church (HMC) is seeking candidates interested in joining our congregation as  Pastor of Congregational Life (full-time open position). When fully staffed, HMC has three full-time pastors. Organized in 1909, HMC members have been serving Christ for more than 109 years. With 636 members (including 393 resident members) and 104 non-member children, HMC has a diverse array of inspirational ministry programs for members and others from the Hesston community. In addition, HMC has a special relationship with the students, faculty and staff of Hesston College and with the families and staff of Schowalter Villa.

Hesston Mennonite Church values a culture of collaboration and teamwork among its pastors. Each pastor cares for the needs of the congregation with a focus on specific ministries defined for their position. While pastors give priority to the ministries for which they hold responsibility, they also have the opportunity to experience a full range of pastoral work within the church. In addition, each pastor seeks to advance the missional movement of the congregation in bringing God's healing and hope to the community and beyond. The pastors are called to carry out the work of Christ alongside the congregation. We value relationships of integrity, accountability and transparency.
